Starting with the basics like tuning and chords, Wyatt builds a nice foundation for the beginner from the ground up. The accompanying CD is almost like a narration of the book, and very colorfully illustrates its concepts.

With its eye-friendly text, TAB, and diagrams, Electric Guitar Basics is favorable to just about any learning preference (some people learn better by seeing tab notation, etc.). The bottom line is great guitar instruction from one of the best teachers in the business. Essential for the beginning self-learning electric guitarist.
